Medicinal Chemist

Snowdon seeks a Medicinal Chemist to join our Drug Discovery team. The successful candidate will be expected to design, synthesize, purify and characterize novel organic compounds for bioassay under high scientific standards and competitive time constraints, while working closely with senior medicinal chemists and computational scientists. Experience in the scale-up, purification, solubility measurement, and formulation of selected lead compounds is required. The Medicinal Chemist should have an understanding of the basic principles of the biological systems under study as well as strong oral and written communications skills. The ability to interact and succeed within a team environment is crucial.

The successful candidate will have a BS/MS in organic or medicinal chemistry and have had at least 5 years experience in an industrial drug discovery organization.
