Senior Medicinal Chemist

Snowdon seeks a Senior Medicinal Chemist to join our Drug Discovery team to design, execute, and optimize the synthesis of drug candidates. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in the hands-on resolution of all medicinal chemistry issues related to drug discovery and development. The Senior Medicinal Chemist will work closely with Snowdon computational scientists to deliver novel compounds for bioassay under the highest scientific standards, as well as within competitive time constraints. Experience in the scale-up, purification, solubility measurement, and formulation of selected lead compounds is required. It is essential that the Senior Medicinal Chemist have a firm understanding of the basic principles of the biological systems under study and the ability to communicate freely and work closely with Snowdon computational scientists and biologists as well as management.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry and will have accumulated between 5 and 10 years experience in an industrial organization.
